You already understand in the previous article that you can make paving blocks yourself. This is because making the paving blocks yourself have several advantages, namely flexibility of time, can choose the shape, set the size and we can choose the color at will. We can adjust the target to our abilities. In many places, people choose to make paving blocks themselves because of these factors.

Steps to Make Paving Blocks Yourself.
We have written that the technique of making paving blocks includes conventional techniques, semi-mechanical techniques, and mechanical techniques. The outline of our making a paving blocks is to put a mixture of material into the mold. Then we do the drying process until it is completely dry.
Tools and Materials
You need some materials and equipment, among others: Molds that fit the shape you want (rectangles, hexagons, or other shapes selected), Swat the mixture of ingredients to compact (flat shape and according to the size of the mold), Sand has been filtered and washed (so that the sand is free of mud and can bond strongly in the mixture of materials), good cement, fly ash (if material is available around the site), and water.
The Process of Make Paving Blocks Yourself
Make the main mixture of raw material for paving blocks first. Mixing cement and sand in a ratio of 1: 3 (or you choose 1: 4, 1: 5, 1: 6). The composition of the constituent materials will determine the compressive strength of the produced paving blocks. You can add fly ash if the material is available.
Add enough water to the main ingredient mixture. You should not be too wet in adding water. You can check it by holding the mixture of ingredients. If you feel that it’s sufficiently strong, then you should stop adding water.
Enter the mixture of material into the mold. Try to keep the mixture material evenly in each corner of the mold. You need to adjust the position of the mold if necessary.
We can use a bat to condense the mixture of paving blocks in the mold. You need to hit repeatedly until you get the desired density level.
The next process, you release the printout slowly so that it is not damaged. You can adjust the printout of the paving block in the drying room. It is recommended that the drying surface be flat to get maximum results.
